Show Me The Way
One day comes and one day goes
And so my struggle continues to grow.
Friends I once had are no longer there-
If as once they did but no longer care
And the answers get further away.
Fall asleep tonight- wake up today
Yet the pain is still with me.
After all the who, what, when, why, and how's-
Still I cannot see.
Frustration hits me so had I want to shout
The world is totally against me.
I hope that you can feel my pain
But even more so hope you DON'T feel the same.
The emptiness I'm feeling inside-
I've once talked but now I hide
These demons buried so deep within
Is where they will stay until the end-
I ain't giving in!
Can you hear me calling?
I'm restless show me the way.
I'm sick of running I'm helpless
I'm tired of feeling this way.
Don't leave me alone
I'm tired of living this way.
Can you hear me calling to you to show me the way? (yeah, show me the way)
The strength you've given me
Only shows me how strong you are.
Yes, we've just met
So please don't travel too far from me.
I want to be shown a better place
That's hidden from the world with
Beaches and sunsets and
The beautiful smile of my girl.
Take me up to the brightest shinning star,
Circle around it-
We won't ever come back-
Not even for the end of time.
I'm sorry too say
As good as it all sounds I'm lying,
The world won't allow us that
But my heart is in the right place.
All I need is that smile on your face
And a little help in being shown the way.
